OLYMPIC LEVEL COACHING FOR EVERY ATHLETE

As a high-performance coach at the University and Olympic levels, Christian Hartford has spent the last decade researching and answering complicated performance questions. Christian’s philosophy is a “no stone left unturned” philosophy; everything he does is to improve athlete performance. Christian now uses this experience and his current research in the field of sports performance to help others solve their performance training problems.

ABOUT OUR COACHES

CHRISTIAN
HARTFORD

Christian Hartford has been a performance coach for over 10 years working at the highest level of sport. During Christian’s time with USA Beach Volleyball, he trained April Ross and Alix Klineman on their journey to winning the Gold Medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Christian also coached several sports at the university level winning conference championships at both Maryland and Northwestern.

Christian coaches the athlete first and then the program. The training goal is to manage the stressors of the athletes, including all stressors outside the weight room. This ensures that the performance training is not overflowing the athlete’s “bucket”. The athlete, as an individual, always comes first at Podium Performance, and this helps create consistent, long-term improvements in performance.
